About Franco Morone
asdf

One of the great names on the international guitar roster, Franco Morone is widely regarded as the "Italian Poet of the Acoustic Guitar". His melodies exert a powerful charm which makes itself felt on the very first hearing and is enhanced by his thoughtful arrangements. What is surprising in his work is the emotional impact of both his original and the traditional tunes the latter being completely refreshed and reborn under his fingers. Through his teaching and musicological research, Franco has become a reference point for many guitarists, both amateur and professional. He has given workshops in Italy and abroad and regularly performs at prestigious festivals in Europe, the United States and Japan.

"Your ears will hang on every notes as he effortlessly weaves lyrical melodies into huge fingerstyle texture, Morone reminds you how truly boundless the fretboard is. Plus, Morone's intonation is perfect, and althought his chops are monstrous, they never distract from the music. If you dig Michael Hedges, you'll love Running Home."

-- Jude Gold - Guitar Player, May 2002

"Morone has one of most identifiable sounds of anyone playing fingerstyle guitar today"

-- Teja Gerken - Acoustic Guitar, March 2002

"I had the good fortune of wandering into the Taylor Guitars booth at the 2001 Winter NAMM Show and hearing this artist for the first time. What an amazing performance! Franco plays solo acoustic guitar in a variety of styles. He has impeccable "feel", and the ability to play lush chord arrangements and melody at the same time. Check out especially his 1998 CD, Melodies of Memories."
